What is Frequency Specific Microcurrent?
Frequency Specific Microcurrent, or FSM, is a treatment option to help relieve pain (especially nerve, arthritic and muscle pain), inflammation, stiffness, stress, anxiety, depression, and can provide emotional support using very low levels of electrical currents.
During FSM treatment, specific frequencies will be selected to encourage natural healing of the body and to reduce your pain. There are frequencies for nearly every type of tissue in your body. The frequencies can be used to potentially reduce swelling, pain, encourage tissue repair and increase vitality.
Additionally FSM has been shown to increase Adenosine Triphosphate, more commonly known as ATP … which is the major source of energy for all cellular reactions in your body.
Treatments are non-invasive and painless and encourage the natural healing process of your body. The mild electrical current used in FSM is so low that you may not even feel it! During FSM treatment, you might experience a feeling of warmth and softening of the affected tissues.
What to expect during your Frequency Specific Microcurrent Treatment.
During your FSM treatment, Tony will take a case history, understand what areas of health you wish to work on and assess what frequencies are going to be used for your individually tailored treatment.
The current is then applied using a moistened cloth to help conduct the frequencies. You can either sit in a chair or lay down on our table and relax for the remainder of your treatment while the microcurrent does all the work.
As FSM treatments are non-invasive and painless, the side effects are usually very rare and mild. However drowsiness could be experienced during or after your session.
Depending on your condition and level of pain, the effects of an FSM treatment can last several days or longer. For acute injuries, lasting pain relief can often be achieved.
What conditions can benefit from FSM?
The beauty of FSM is that it can help treat most conditions. Inflammation is the main driver of most health concerns and therefore reducing inflammation in the tissues or nerves involved will help. FSM is also great at reducing stress, anxiety, depression and helping with adrenal fatigue.
Some of the most common conditions that can be treated are:
- Achilles Tendonitis
- Acute (sudden) and chronic (long-term) musculoskeletal injuries
- Bell’s Palsy
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Diabetic Neuropathy
- Disc injuries
- Facet joint pain
- Kidney Stone Pain
- Lower Back Pain
- Muscle Pain
- Neck Pain
- Nerve Pain
- Sports Injuries
- Shoulder Pain
- TMJ Pain
- Wound Healing
- And more
Is there anyone who shouldn’t have FSM?
Unfortunately, there are people who shouldn’t receive a FSM treatment. If you have any of the following medical conditions, please speak with Tony to discuss alternative options for treatment
- Implanted pumps.
- Uncontrolled seizures.
