The HcG Diet – Your weight loss questions answered.
I have helped thousands of people over the years lose weight and keep it off. In my opinion weight loss is the quickest and easiest way to dramatically improve your health and to also help woman with preconception and fertility issues. I use many diets in the clinic but my favorite diet is the HcG diet. It’s fast, simple to follow, cost effective and it delivers great results. What I also loveis that it seems to work really well on people who have unsuccessfully tried every other weight loss diet going or those who have been going to the gym 3-4 times per week and still nothing seems to be shifting.
Below are some of the main questions that I get asked about the HcG Diet.
What is Hcg?
HcG (Human chorionic gonadotropin hormone) is a hormone that is secreted in pregnancy. If a woman’s level of HcG drops during her pregnancy this can often lead to her miscarrying … which is why it is regularly monitored by doctors. It has the ability to protect the foetus from starvation in times of famine by liberating the long term brown fat stores of the woman’s body as a source of food.
Though it is found in both men and woman and therefore it is best to think of it as protection rather than its association with pregnancy.
How does the HcG Diet work?
Phase 1 is called a loading phase where you get to eat anything you want for 2 days to build up your fat stores. This is when you start taking your HcG drops.
Phase 2 runs over a 21 – 42 day period. We provide our clients with full directions, their meal plans and weight loss tips as planning and preparation is the key to the success of this program. You are allowed to consume 500 calories from food; however your stored fat is being released and will add approximately an additional 2,500 calories that your body can utilize. That is why most clients are not hungry. It’s the equivalent of doing 6 hours on a cross trainer every day … without doing any exercise.
Drinking 2L of fresh water daily is very important as it aids the body in the removal of toxins flushed from fat cells.
Low Glycemic Phase – We then place you on a low glycemic diet for 2 weeks during which time we support your liver and replenish your bodies oils. This also gives your body a break from fat burning. This phase also helps teach you how tio keep the weight off once you have lost all of the weight you wish to lose.
If you need to lose further weight you would then restart the program again, rotating between the two diets until you have reached your ideal weight.
Is it effective?
I have been helping clients lose weight for over 10 years. In my experience the HcG is the best way to lose weight quick and keep it off. The typical weight loss on the HcG diet is between 1 – 2kg of weight, with fat loss around 1 – 1.5 kg of fat per week. It’s a good level of loss without it being too fast so that you rebound.
Will I be hungry eating just 500 Calories?
Because HcG causes the release of fat stores into the blood stream, most people report having little or no appetite on this protocol. If I had a dollar for every time people say “I can’t believe that I’m not hungry only eating 500 calories” I’d be a rich man.
Will I be tired on the HcG Diet?
Fat is essentially stored energy. You actually get 2.5 times the amount of energy in fat as you do suger. For this reason when you burning fat for energy your energy levels are very good. In addition to feeling energetic most people also experience a feeling of lightness.
Is the HcG Diet Safe?
The HcG diet is very safe and can be used by anyone needing to lose weight. I have used the HcG diet to successful help children from 14 years of age up to an 89 year old woman to lose weight.
However it is not recommended for woman who are pregnant or who are breastfeeding.
