What is Physiospect

By Blogs No Comments

No need to worry. The strange noises that you can hear in the clinic lately are not emanating from Bec or from a naughty weight loss client that we have locked in the room … They are actually coming from ‘Quincy’ Mike’s Physiospect machine.Quincy the Physiospect

The strange beeping noises that you can often hear is Quincy hard at work helping people with a wide range of conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, pain, digestive issue and autoimmune conditions to name but a few.

What is Physiospect

Physiospect fDoctor Picor you: Sometimes it may take a routine doctor’s visit to uncover an otherwise silent deterioration within our body. Other times it can be more dramatic and we don’t need a doctor to tell us something is wrong. We often don’t notice the small and subtle changes that go on all the time, because our body is designed to adapt and cope with all sorts of stressors. As we adapt and change to one stress, the next changes and adaptation to another stress is already happening.

But as the stressors accumulate within our body, our ability to continually adapt and cope is stretched to its limits until our adaptive processes no longer keep pace with the relentless stressors that our current environment and lifestyle throws at us. Read More

The HcG Diet – Your weight loss questions answered.

I have helped thousands of people over the years lose weight and keep it off. In my opinion weight loss is the quickest and easiest way to dramatically improve your health and to also help woman with preconception and fertility issues. I use many diets in the clinic but my favorite diet is the HcG diet. It’s fast, simple to follow, cost effective and it delivers great results. What I also loveis that it seems to work really well on people who have unsuccessfully tried every other weight loss diet going or those who have been going to the gym 3-4 times per week and still nothing seems to be shifting.

Below are some of the main questions that I get asked about the HcG Diet.

A Naturopath Diet that Helps you Lose Weight Fast!

We have successfully helped many clients lose unwanted kilograms over the years with naturopath diet solutions – and one program that we use for moving those extra kilograms is the HcG diet.

What is the HcG Diet?

HcG (Human chorionic gonadotropin hormone) is found in both men and women, but it is a hormone that is secreted in pregnancy and has the ability to protect the foetus from starvation in times of famine by liberating the long term brown fat stores of the woman’s body as a source of food. Because it is found in both men and woman it’s best to think of it as protection, rather than its association with pregnancy.HcG program is a naturopath diet that works!

Using Natural Weight Loss homeopathic HcG drops while following a 500 calorie naturopath diet, triggers the body to liberate fat stores and reset the hypothalamus (the body’s master gland that also controls weight) to assist in preventing rebound weight gain. Read More

By Blogs No Comments

How to quickly get rid of Menopause Symptoms such as Hot Flushes and Night Sweats using information most people don’t even know about. It’s almost like magic.Woman in the Freezer from Menopause Hot Flushes

It is all too often that I get woman coming into the clinic experiencing Menopause or Perimenopause symptoms such as Hot Flushes, Night Sweats, Fatigue, Weight Gain and Mood changes. It is not uncommon to hear that they can get upwards of 20 flushes per night and that they are so tired and irritable from a lack of sleep.

I feel so sorry for these ladies, especially when I hear that they have had these symptoms for many years. Recently I had one lady who had had over 20 flushes per night for the last 5 years.

Can you imagine the smile on her face when I said that I was confident that I could cease most of her flushes within 1-2 months and that I could also increase her energy levels simultaneously?

Food Allergy vs a Food Intolerance. What’s the difference?

By Blogs No Comments

What is the difference between a Food Allergy and a Food Intolerance? Learn the difference so you can get the correct test to eliminate your digestive and chronic fatigue symptoms.

Do you ever experience bloating, nausea, fatigue, muscle aches, brain fog or IBS type symptoms? If so, it may be due to a food intolerance or food sensitivity. Often we can consume certain foods and not experience an immediate reaction or symptom however; it is only after having the same food twice, three or maybe four times that all of a sudden our body reacts.

We consume food 4 – 6 times daily. Imagine the assault on your digestive tract and your immune system if you are actually eating foods up to 6 times a day that your body hates and finds inflammatory or disruptive. Is it any wonder that your gut hurts, you feel poorly and not vibrant and full of energy.

I get a number of people who rightly suspect that food is causing their symptoms and they call the clinic and ask for a food allergy test. I regularly find myself explaining the difference between a Food Allergy and a Food Intolerance. Read More

Top 5 Causes of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

By Blogs No Comments

Are you Tired all the Time? You may have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Do you feel tired and exhausted all the time, and think it’s just because of your busy lifestyle? It may be more than you think. Although your hectic, demanding lifestyle may be the culprit, persistent tiredness may also be a symptom of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. (CFS)

Top 5 causes associated to the Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

Fatigue may be caused by numerous factors including nutritional deficiencies, lack of exercise, and lack of sleep, but here are the top 5 causes that are often missed.

  1. Depleted adrenal glands:

This leads to what is known as adrenal fatigue. The adrenal glands are small, but they have a very big role, because they ar responsible for managing stress. The glands are an integral part of the endocrine system, and secrete hormones that manage a range of body functions, including adrenaline. The adrenal glands can become depleted due to lack of sleep, excessive exercise, and overwork. When this happens, chronic fatigue is often the result.

  1. Food Intolerance:Woman with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Symptoms can also be caused by food intolerance, which is a chemical response that some people have after eating specific types of food. Foods that often cause intolerance include milk and other dairy products, wheat, gluten, yeast and eggs. Eliminating the food is the best way to alleviate the problem. This may require a visit to the clinic to see Tony Daniel our naturopath so that he can perform a Food Intolerance Test help identify the offending foods.

The Natural Solution to Treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

By Blogs No Comments

Recently a woman came into my clinic seeking treatment for IBS. You wouldn’t believe what she discovered.

She suffered with  severe digestive pain, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation and fatigue. She also experienced headaches and brain fog.

After doing a comprehensive naturopathic health analysis including a food intolerance test I advised her that she was highly intolerant to eggs. This came as quite a shock as she ate eggs most days and LOVED them. I recommended that she eliminate eggs from her diet and that we use some nutritional supplements and probiotics to reduce the inflammation in her digestive system.

2 weeks later, after adhering to my recommendations, she came back and her irritable bowel syndrome symptoms were gone. Food Intolerances the hidden cause of Irritable Bowel Syndrome

These types of results are fairly common if a full naturopathic health assessment is performed and the underlying drivers to a person’s inflammatory bowel disease are identified.

In the clinic I see a lot of people with digestive issues ranging from bloating, pain, increased flatulence, reflux, constipation and diarrhoea or medically diagnosed conditions such as Crohns, Colitis and Diverticulitis. However the most common medically diagnosed condition I see is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Read More
